How far has your sound travelled?
Paste a TikTok sound link and see how many videos use it, then the videos themselves: who made them and how many views, likes and comments each one got.
- Free, no sign-up
- Public data only
- Same data as our API
Fetching live public data. This usually takes a few seconds.
From a sound link to the videos behind it.
Every TikTok sound has a page at tiktok.com/music/<name>-<id>. The number at the end is the sound ID. Paste the link (or just the number) and the tracker asks TikTok two things: the sound’s details, including how many videos use it, and the first page of those videos.
Videos are sorted by views so the ones carrying the sound are at the top. The video count is TikTok’s own figure; it moves as new videos are posted and old ones are removed.
Tracking a song over time
Run the same lookup every day and write down the video count: the change from one day to the next is how fast the sound is spreading. Results here are saved for a few hours, so for daily tracking of many sounds, the TikTok sound API does the same thing on a schedule and pages through every video, not just the first page.
Need this in your own code?
The same data, as JSON
This tool runs on the ScrapingBot API. Call it from any language with one API key, page through every result and run it on a schedule. New accounts get 100 free credits, no card.
Questions, answered
How do I find a TikTok sound link?
In the TikTok app, tap the spinning record on a video, then Share and Copy link. On the web, open the sound page: the URL looks like tiktok.com/music/name-1234567890 and the number at the end is the sound ID. Either works here.
How many videos use this sound?
The tracker shows the count TikTok reports for the sound. It includes public videos only, and it changes as people post new videos or delete old ones.
Why do I only see some of the videos?
The free tracker shows the first page of videos, sorted by views. The API returns every video with a cursor you send back for the next page, so you can collect all of them.
Is this free?
Yes. You can run 10 new lookups a day without an account, and anything already looked up in the last few hours opens instantly. For more, the API gives new accounts 100 free credits; each page of videos costs 1 credit.
Can I track a sound every day?
Yes. Call /music/info once a day and store video_count to see the growth curve, and walk /music/posts with its cursor when you want the videos themselves. A short script on a schedule does it.
Does it work for private videos?
No. Only public data is shown: private accounts and private videos are not included.
Track every sound, every day.
